AI receptionist for electricians
You're up a ladder or in a crawlspace when the phone rings. Voxlivo answers in about two seconds, gets the address and what's going on, books the visit, and keeps the safety calls out of a voicemail box.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. No card needed, we do the setup, and you only pay if you keep it.
Receptionist: Thanks for calling Brightline Electric. I'm the virtual assistant, and this call may be recorded. How can I help?
Caller: Half the outlets in my kitchen stopped working.
Receptionist: I can help with that. Do you see any smoke, sparks or smell anything burning?
Caller: No, they're just dead. I already tried the breaker.
Receptionist: Thanks, that's helpful. Can I get your name, address and best number?
Caller: Priya Shah, 220 Oak Street, 512 555 0139.
Receptionist: Got it, 5-1-2, 5-5-5, 0-1-3-9. I can book an electrician tomorrow between 8 and 12. Does that work?
Why electricians use an AI receptionist
- Electrical work is hands-on and often in places where you can't take a call.
- Many callers are comparing two or three electricians for a panel upgrade or EV charger. The first one to answer usually gets the visit.
- Safety-related calls need a clear, consistent answer every time, not a rushed one from whoever grabbed the phone.
Calls it handles
- ✓Outlets or circuits not working, breakers tripping
- ✓Lights flickering or a burning smell
- ✓Panel upgrades and rewiring estimates
- ✓EV charger installation quotes
- ✓Ceiling fans, fixtures and lighting installs
- ✓Generator and surge protection questions
What it asks every caller
- ✓Name and best callback number, read back
- ✓Service address
- ✓What's happening, and in which rooms
- ✓Whether there's any smoke, sparking or a burning smell
- ✓Home age and panel size, if the caller knows
- ✓Preferred arrival window
Smoke and sparks get a safety answer first
If a caller mentions fire, smoke or sparking, the receptionist tells them to get out and call 911 first. For a dead circuit or a breaker that keeps tripping, it books your first emergency slot, flags it, and on Growth and above can transfer the call to you.
How booking works
Service calls and estimate visits go into Google Calendar. You decide which work it books directly and which it takes as a lead for a callback, such as commercial jobs or large rewires.
What it costs
Plans start at $49 a month for 100 minutes, about 40 calls. For most electricians we recommend Growth: $99 a month for 500 minutes, with text summaries and live transfer of urgent calls. Every plan includes 24/7 answering, Google Calendar booking, recordings and transcripts, and setup done for you. See all plans.
Questions electricians ask us
Can it quote a panel upgrade or EV charger?
Only if you give us a set price. Most electricians prefer the receptionist to book an estimate visit instead, and it tells the caller the electrician will quote on site.
Will it tell callers to reset breakers or do anything themselves?
Only what you put in the script. By default it gives no electrical advice beyond telling callers to stay safe and call 911 for fire or smoke.
Can it take commercial leads differently?
Yes. It can ask whether the call is residential or commercial and route commercial callers to a callback or a transfer, with the details sent to you.
How fast is setup?
About a day. You give us your services, hours, service area and transfer number, we build and test it, and you make a few test calls before it goes live.
